Flutist Christine SHAYKHIAN studied at the "Conservatoire National de Région de Nancy" in the class of J. MULE where she brilliantly achieved the highest interregional First Prize as well as several first prizes in chamber music, musical education and analysis.

She went on to study with R. GUIOT and G. ALIROL at the Paris Conservatory where she obtained unanimously the First Prize of the City of Paris.

She also has a degree in musicology and art history from the University of Nancy.

Chamber musician by vocation,Christine SHAYKHIAN is a lauréate of numerous international competitions :
  • First Prize at the Jacques Chambon Competition in 1994
  • First Prize at the UFAM in 1996 and 1998
At present she divides her musical activity between teaching flute at a number of conservatories in Lorraine and her main love,playing with several different chamber music formations.
