Dominique EDER may have started learning her instrument at the relatively late age of 17,but her progress was spectacular.
In the space of just a few years she was a finalist in competitions such as "Concours du Royaume de la Musique, de l'UFAM, d'Ile de France" and became a lauréate of the Nancy, Essonne and Paris Conservatories where where she studied with Carel HARMS and Alexandre LAGOYA.
She went on to study with grand masters such as Olivier CHASSAIN, Oscar GHIGLIA and Vladimir MIKULKA.
Holder of the C.A. she is professor of guitar at the Conservatoire National de Région de Nancy.
Ancient music being her passion, she continues studying relentlessly in this field aswell as playing, for several years now, romantic guitar.
Worthy heiress to Alexandre LAGOYA, chamber music is her priviledged domain and she participates in different formations, guitar duet, string ensembles and the Napoléon Coste Ensemble that she founded for the purpose of rediscovering 19th century chamber music with guitar.
Dominique EDER plays a romantic guitar made by Denis FUCHS and a classical guitar by Daniel FRIEDERICH.
Since 2006, she also plays a guitar made especially for her by the swiss luthier Maurice OTTIGER.
